Hyderabad: KTR Accuses Congress of Faction Politics and Political Murders in Telangana
In a serious allegation, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) accused the Congress party of fostering a culture of faction politics and political murders in Telangana. He specifically implicated Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao in the recent murders of BRS leaders Mallesh Yadav and Sridhar Reddy in Kollapur, which occurred within a span of four months.
KTR called on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to demonstrate integrity by immediately dismissing the minister from the cabinet. He also demanded an inquiry into the murders by a special investigation team (SIT) or through judicial means.
While paying tribute to the late BRS leader B Sridhar Reddy, who was murdered in Kollapur on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, KTR reiterated the party’s commitment to protecting its activists and supporting Sridhar Reddy’s family.
“These atrocities could not have occurred without the minister’s support. First Mallesh Yadav was killed, and now Sridhar Reddy has been murdered. The government must take responsibility for these heinous acts,” KTR stated, renewing his call for the minister’s dismissal.
Expressing distrust in the local police, KTR demanded their immediate suspension and called for action against the officers responsible for the delays and misconduct. He highlighted that the police arrived an hour and a half after the incident, despite being expected within ten minutes, effectively acting as spectators.
“If the government and the minister are truly uninvolved, they should cooperate with an impartial investigation,” KTR insisted, also alleging that the police were pressuring Sridhar Reddy’s father to avoid mentioning the minister’s name in any complaint.
KTR warned that if the government fails to address these killings and atrocities immediately, he would mobilize thousands of supporters to lay siege to the homes of ministers and Congress leaders.
