K.T. Rama Rao Criticizes Revanth Reddy Over Unfulfilled Promises to Auto Drivers
K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former minister, has once again launched a strong critique against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Using the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), KTR expressed his dissatisfaction with Revanth Reddy’s unfulfilled promises, specifically targeting the financial aid of ₹12,000 promised to auto drivers.
KTR’s comments were spurred by the tragic suicide of an auto driver in Siddipet, which was allegedly due to financial hardship. Sharing the heartbreaking news, KTR questioned Revanth’s leadership and the “change” he had promised. In his tweet, KTR wrote: “Is this the change you promised, Revanth? Glittering hands filled with money now hold bottles of pesticide—this is the change? The joy of a financially secure life has turned into thoughts of suicide—is this the change?”
KTR further questioned the whereabouts of the ₹12,000 aid that Revanth had promised to auto drivers and criticized Rahul Gandhi for his lack of support for these workers. He accused Revanth Reddy of betraying not just auto drivers, but every section of society. “You are choking Telangana with false promises,” KTR added, while emphasizing the lack of tangible change under Revanth’s leadership in the past year.
KTR’s pointed remarks highlight the growing political tension in Telangana, with accusations of unkept promises and ineffective governance coming to the forefront.
