KTR Urges Unity Behind Indian Army, Slams Congress Over Unfulfilled Promises

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) called for national solidarity in support of the Indian Army amidst heightened tensions with Pakistan, while also launching a blistering attack on the Congress-led Telangana government for what he described as broken promises and failed leadership.

Speaking at a public meeting in Mittapalli village of Tallada Mandal, Khammam district, KTR emphasized the importance of standing united in times of national conflict. “In this critical hour, it is our duty to back our brave soldiers, who stand as the first line of defense for our nation,” he said.

Before addressing the gathering, KTR unveiled a statue of the late Rayala Seshagiri Rao, former DCMs Chairman, paying tribute to his legacy and his relentless efforts for farmer welfare.

Turning his attention to state politics, KTR accused the Congress government of delivering little despite promising much. “Khammam has three ministers, but what real benefit has the district seen?” he asked, sharply questioning Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s pre-election commitments, some of which were backed by signed bond papers.

KTR alleged that several welfare programs initiated during former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s tenure had been rolled back, including vital schemes aimed at supporting farmers and girls. “Where is the farm loan waiver? Where is the gold-for-girls scheme?” he questioned, pointing out the growing frustration among voters who had hoped for change.

The BRS leader didn’t mince words about Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy either, calling him the “most incompetent CM” he had seen. “In Delhi, no one takes him seriously. He’s viewed either as someone who carries shoes or as a thief. What else can you call a thief but a thief?” KTR said, adding that not even Dr. B.R. Ambedkar could have anticipated such leadership in power.

KTR concluded his address with a rallying call to party workers, urging them to gear up for the upcoming local body elections. “Let us ensure the pink flag flies high again—win every ZPTC, MPTC, and Sarpanch seat,” he said.
