FIR Filed Against KTR for Unauthorized Drone Use at Medigadda Barrage
Hyderabad: An FIR has been registered against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) for operating an unauthorized drone during a visit to the Medigadda (Laxmi) barrage on July 26. The complaint was lodged by Vali Shaik, an assistant executive engineer at the barrage, on July 29, but the FIR details emerged only recently.
According to the complaint, KTR, accompanied by former MLAs Gandra Venkataramana Reddy and Balka Suman, conducted drone operations without securing the necessary permissions from the police. Shaik highlighted that the Medigadda Barrage, a vital component of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation project initiated by the previous BRS government, is crucial for Telangana’s infrastructure and that unauthorized drone activity poses a potential security threat.
The case has been filed under relevant legal sections, following the emergence of drone footage on social media. The incident has raised concerns over security protocols at key infrastructure sites.
