Kuwait Reopens Work Visas for Short-Term Government Contracts
If you’re seeking a short-term job opportunity in Kuwait, the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has announced the reopening of work visas for temporary government contracts. This initiative, directed by Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior, aims to meet labor demands and enhance flexibility for the efficient completion of short-term projects.
The work visas are specifically for government projects lasting up to one year, indicating they are not designed for long-term residency. As of October 21, PAM has begun accepting applications from qualified professionals for these short-term contracts.
Required Documents for a Work Visa:
- A valid passport with at least six months before expiration.
- A completed visa application issued by the Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A recent passport-sized photograph.
- An HIV/AIDS test result.
- A health certificate from a local doctor confirming good health and the absence of contagious diseases.
- A police clearance certificate indicating no criminal record.
Upon submission of the required documents, a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) will be issued, allowing entry into Kuwait. After arriving in the country, you will receive a residency visa and have 30 days to apply for a Kuwaiti civil ID.
This opportunity presents a valuable chance for professionals looking to gain experience in Kuwait while contributing to important government projects.
