Recently, claims have surfaced alleging that Anjali Birla, daughter of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, secured a government position without passing the UPSC exam. These assertions were later proven false.
Social Media Claims: Photographs of Anjali Birla were circulated on social media with captions suggesting, “India is the only country where you can clear UPSC without sitting for the examination. But for that, you have to be born as a daughter of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Anjali Birla, daughter of Om Birla, cleared UPSC without giving any examination; she is a model by profession. Modi Govt is making a mockery of our Education System.”
Verification of Facts: Upon investigation, it was confirmed that Anjali Birla took the UPSC exam in 2019. She was selected through the Consolidated Reserve List. The results of the 2019 UPSC exams were announced on August 4, 2020, listing 829 successful candidates, with Anjali Birla among the 89 aspirants on the reserve list.
Anjali Birla, a graduate of Ramjas College, Delhi, was subsequently selected for the Indian Railway Account Service.
Therefore, it is evident that the claims were baseless, and Anjali Birla did indeed pass the UPSC exam to secure her position.
