Speaking at the ongoing TDP Mahanadu, party national general secretary and minister Nara Lokesh delivered a passionate address outlining Telugu Desam Party’s enduring commitment to the people and its roadmap for the future. Lokesh emphasized that TDP is not just a political party, but a movement born out of the self-respect and aspirations of the Telugu people.
“Telugu Desam is the only party that was founded for the Telugu nation. We have a legacy of feeding the poor, fighting for justice, and transforming lives,” Lokesh stated.
He praised party founder N.T. Rama Rao, describing the strength of the party’s foundation as “unshakable” and rooted in public service. “Wherever Telugus have faced challenges—at home or abroad—it is TDP that has stood by them,” he added.
Six-Point Vision for a New Era
Revealing the party’s forward-looking agenda, Lokesh announced six core focus areas, which he called TDP’s guiding laws for the future:
Vishwakhyati Telugu – Promoting global recognition for the Telugu community.
Yuvagalam – Empowering youth with skills, technology, and opportunities.
Stree Shakti – Advancing women’s welfare, rights, and leadership.
Social Reengineering – Ensuring social justice and upliftment of the poor.
Annadata Abhaya (Support for the Food Giver) – Strengthening agriculture and farmer welfare.
Worker as Leader – Recognizing grassroots workers as the true backbone of the party.
“Our goal is to see Telugus leading in every field across the world. We will recognize those who work hard and reward merit,” he affirmed.
Tribute to Party Cadre
In an emotional tribute, Lokesh acknowledged the sacrifices and dedication of TDP workers who upheld the party’s values through difficult times.
“To every party worker who carried the yellow flag high when the times were dark—we bow our heads in respect. Your commitment is the soul of this party,” he said.
Call to Action and Community Engagement
Lokesh urged party leaders and activists to reconnect deeply with the people and constantly innovate to meet their needs.
“Power and opposition are both familiar to us. What matters most is staying rooted in service. Let’s use this Mahanadu as a platform to discuss, deliberate, and decide on strategies that bring us closer to the people,” he said, stressing that the party’s ideology is deeply tied to the self-respect of every Telugu person. The speech was met with enthusiastic applause, with thousands of party workers gathered in Kadapa drawing inspiration from Lokesh’s vision.
