As the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) gears up for its landmark Mahanadu conclave, a rising chorus from party cadres is calling for a dynamic shift in leadership—one that places youth leader Nara Lokesh at the forefront. With party sentiment swelling across the grassroots, there’s growing pressure to elevate Lokesh to the role of National Working President, signaling a generational shift in the TDP’s leadership structure.
TDP MLA and Government Whip G.V. Anjaneyulu echoed the sentiments of the rank and file, stating, “Crores of party workers and supporters are eagerly hoping to see Nara Lokesh take on a more prominent leadership role. This isn’t just a demand—it’s the heartbeat of the party. We’ll certainly bring it to the attention of Chandrababu Garu during Mahanadu.”
Anjaneyulu emphasized the need to inject youthful vigor into the party as it looks toward ‘Vision 2047’, a long-term blueprint aimed at transformative governance. He expressed confidence that under Lokesh’s stewardship, TDP will be fortified for decades to come, ensuring the NDA alliance can target a clean sweep in future elections.
Adding weight to the growing momentum, senior TDP leader Anam Venkataramana Reddy affirmed that any decision regarding Lokesh’s position would ultimately be driven by the wishes of the party cadre. “Ours is a party built on democratic values. If the people within the party desire Lokesh to step up, that’s exactly what will happen. It’s not imposed from the top—it rises from the ground.”
He added that the upcoming Mahanadu would be unlike any seen before. “This will be a historic Mahanadu—the first since returning to power. The energy is palpable, and the discipline and vision Chandrababu Garu brings will be on full display. It’s something every political party in India should take notes from.”
On a closing note, Anam didn’t miss the opportunity to take a dig at the YSR Congress Party, saying, “That party is like a dead snake—irrelevant now. The future belongs to the Telugu Desam Party, and the good days are here.”
As the countdown to Mahanadu begins, all eyes are on Nara Lokesh and the leadership decisions that may define the next era of TDP politics.
