Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has strongly condemned the alleged unruly actions of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) activists in Ibrahimpatnam, describing their behavior as “demonic” and “unbecoming of a democratic society.”
The incident, which has sparked public outrage, occurred during a gathering at the residence of former minister Jogi Ramesh, where YSRCP supporters had reportedly assembled for a personal event. However, what began as a visit soon descended into chaos.
According to Lokesh, a group of YSRCP activists stole a bicycle from a young boy passing by, flipped it into the air, slammed it to the ground, and stomped on it, ignoring the child’s visible distress and cries. The shocking behavior was captured on video, which Lokesh later shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In his post, Lokesh expressed frustration and disappointment at what he called the unchanging nature of YSRCP cadre, despite the party’s electoral setbacks.
“Oh… they haven’t changed at all, and they never will. They were called psychos for a reason, and their actions continue to justify the label. This is why—yesterday, today, and forever—they remain a psycho party, with a psycho leader,” Lokesh wrote.
He further added that the video serves as evidence of the mindset and misconduct of those who, he says, continue to act above the law and against public decency, despite being rejected by the people.
Lokesh’s remarks have reignited political tensions between the ruling TDP-led alliance and the opposition YSRCP, with calls for accountability and action mounting over the viral incident. As of now, there has been no official response from the YSRCP regarding the allegations.
