A score past 160 on a slow pitch at the Ekna Stadium was difficult to break through. If you want Chennai to make 150 at one stage.. Mahendra Singh Dhoni played a brilliant innings in the end of this match as he did against Mumbai in the last match and Chennai’s score reached 176. Chennai have dangerous bowlers including Avatal Pathirana. So everyone thought it was difficult for Lucknow! But if KL Rahul, who always plays slowly, breaks out, LSG could not turn around as the fast-playing de Kock contributed by batting. Lucknow shocked Chennai after losing only two wickets with one over left.

IPL 2024: After two consecutive defeats in IPL-17, Lucknow Supergiants are back on the winning track. Showing its dominance on home soil, Chennai defeated Super Kings by 8 wickets. De Kock (54; 5×4, 1×6 off 43 balls) added a half-century to KL Rahul’s (82; 53-ball 9×4, 3×6) captain’s innings as Lucknow easily chased down the target of 177 runs. First, Chennai scored 176 runs for 6 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja (57 not out; 5×4, 1×6 off 40 balls)) was the top scorer. Rahane (36; 5×4 in 24 balls, 1×6), Moeen Ali (30; 3×6 in 20 balls), Dhoni (28 not out; 3×4 in 9 balls, 2×6) also played crucial innings.

Rahul who has changed his route: Did he think 177 is a huge target in Ekna field.. Or did he think that he needed to increase his speed before the selection of the T20 World Cup team? If De Kock played cautiously with his determination to get form, Rahul kept the score board running with big shots. Targeting Deepak Chahar, he hit a barrage of fours and sixes. He greeted the risky delivery with an upper cut six. Rahul completed his half century in 32 balls. De Kock also got down to the shots after the fight. De Kock on 31 runs. Lucknow got lucky when Jadeja bowled a catch. De Kock completed his half-century in 41 balls.. Lucknow was in an unstoppable position with 134/0. De Kock was dismissed for 43 runs in 5.1 overs. Rahul along with Pooran (23 not out; 3×4, 1×6 off 12 balls) brought the team closer to victory. Rahul turned back in the position of needing only 16 runs in 3 overs. Pooran completed the work along with Steinis (8 not out).

Adaraho in the end..: Chennai, who lost the toss and batted first, did not get a proper start. Even though Rahane played hard in the power play, CSK was in trouble as wickets fell at the other end. After Rahane’s dismissal, Ravindra Jadeja kept the innings. At the end, Chennai achieved an unexpected score with the brilliance of Moeen Ali and Dhoni. Rachin Ravindra (0) continued his failure and was bowled by Mosin’s bowling. Chennai’s innings started poorly as the in-form captain Ruthuraj (17) also did not last long. With two wickets falling in short order, Jadeja came in to bat at number four. At the other end, Rahane moved the scoreboard with some delightful shots. Jadeja played the shots after getting stuck. By the end of the Powerplay, Chennai were 51/2. But after a while Rahane was bowled by Krunal.. Dube (3) who was in super form was dismissed by Steinis. Rizvi (1), who came as an impact player, did not last long and Chennai was again in deep trouble with 90/5. However, Jadeja, who was already at the crease. However, after 17 overs, Chennai scored only 123 runs. But Moeen hit three sixes in a row off the bowling of Bishnoi and brought momentum to the innings. Soon after he got out…Dhoni, who came next, exploded in his own style and Chennai made an exceptional 176 runs.
