Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam: Director Lakshman Karya Shares Insights Ahead of Release
Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam, featuring Rao Ramesh in the lead role, is set to hit theaters on the 23rd of this month. In a recent media interaction, director Lakshman Karya provided intriguing details about the film and its development.
Karya, originally from Tirupati, shared his journey from making short films and assisting in direction to becoming a full-time director. He highlighted a personal experience that inspired the core plot of Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam. “Once, I found an unexpected Rs. 80,000 deposited in my account. After various humorous inquiries and situations, I discovered that my mother-in-law was the source of this money. This incident forms the basis of our film,” Karya explained.
The director also spoke about how Tabitha Sukumar came on board. “My wife and Tabitha met through mutual friends. Tabitha learned about the film and, along with Sukumar garu, provided invaluable support,” he said. Karya revealed that Sukumar watched the film and praised both the presentation and Rao Ramesh’s standout performance, noting that Ramesh’s role is central to the film’s success.
Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam stars Rao Ramesh, Indraja, Ankit Koyya, Ramya Pasupuleti, among others. The film is presented by Tabitha Sukumar and released by Mythri Movie Makers. It is produced by Bujji Rayudu Pentyala and Mohan Karya under the PBR Cinemas and Lokamaatre Cinematics banners.
