McDonald’s Likely to Set Up Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, Creating Job Openings
Hyderabad is on the brink of welcoming McDonald’s as one of the newest companies to establish a Global Capability Center (GCC) in the city. As per reports from a government source, McDonald’s is currently reviewing its plans, with expectations of significant job openings in the near future.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), a well-known tracker of real estate developments in Hyderabad indicated that McDonald’s is actively recruiting for various positions, including cyber defense experts and testing professionals for its new Global Security Operations Centre. Additionally, the company is seeking infrastructure engineers and cloud operations engineers for its Global Technology and Operations Team in the city.
The official registration of McDonald’s Capability Centre India Pvt Ltd with corporate affairs further suggests that the company is moving forward with its plans to set up operations in Hyderabad. This development aligns with the increasing trend of multinational companies establishing GCCs in India to leverage the region’s talent pool and cost advantages.
Global Capability Centers (GCCs) are specialized offshore or nearshore units operated by multinational corporations. These centers are designed to optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency by utilizing regional expertise and technology.
Hyderabad has become a key destination for such GCCs, with several major companies following suit. In the third quarter of the year, a substantial 2 million square feet of office space was registered, indicating the city’s growing appeal to global businesses.
McDonald’s entry into the GCC landscape is expected to boost Hyderabad’s employment opportunities and further solidify the city as a hub for international business operations.
