New Delhi: MediaTek, a leading semiconductor company, announced on Tuesday the launch of its latest flagship mobile chip, the ‘Dimensity 9300+’ as part of its Dimensity portfolio.
This cutting-edge chip is specifically engineered to accelerate on-device generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) processing while also providing enhanced clock speeds.
JC Hsu, Corporate Senior Vice President at MediaTek, stated, “To augment AI experiences, the Dimensity 9300+ delivers remarkable performance and optimizations to expedite Large Language Model (LLM) inference, resulting in significantly faster token processing for an enhanced user experience.”
According to the company, the flagship mobile chip surpasses its predecessors in AI processing capabilities, courtesy of MediaTek’s innovative NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration technology integrated into the latest generative AI engine.
With NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration, the chip can execute LLMs with seven billion parameters at a rate of 22 tokens per second, which is more than twice the speed of competing mass-market solutions.
The Dimensity 9300+ features a second-generation hardware ray tracing engine coupled with an Arm Immortalis-G720 GPU, providing gamers with seamless ray tracing experiences at a consistent 60 frames per second, accompanied by console-grade global illumination effects.
Furthermore, the chip incorporates MediaTek’s advanced HyperEngine technologies, elevating the gaming experience to unprecedented levels.
MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT) optimizes power efficiency when activated during gameplay, thereby prolonging battery life and maintaining device temperature within optimal limits, as highlighted by the company.
