Malshiras: Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his critique of NCP leader Sharad Pawar, asserting that Pawar’s tenure as Union agriculture minister failed to address farmers’ concerns adequately.
Speaking at a rally in Malshiras, Solapur district, Modi highlighted farmers’ struggles during Pawar’s tenure, referencing instances where farmers had to pursue sugarcane commission for their dues.
Modi’s remarks follow his previous comments characterizing Pawar as a “wandering soul” and attributing instability in Maharashtra to the veteran leader’s ambitions.
Addressing voters, Modi urged them not to waste their votes on parties like Congress that lack a substantial presence in the electoral landscape.
He emphasized the importance of a strong government, contrasting his administration’s achievements with the Congress’s decades-long rule.
Modi underscored his government’s efforts in poverty alleviation, citing the upliftment of 25 crore people and provision of free ration to 80 crore individuals over the past decade.
