Esteemed music composer and actor GV Prakash, recognized as the nephew of the legendary AR Rahman, has recently become the subject of public discourse regarding his personal life. Speculation has been rife regarding the purported separation between the accomplished composer and his equally talented spouse, singer Saindhavi.
In response to widespread rumors, GV Prakash issued an official statement on Monday night, wherein he disclosed, “After careful consideration, Saindhavi and I have made the difficult decision to part ways after 11 years of marriage. We aim to prioritize our mental well-being and personal growth while maintaining mutual respect.” He earnestly appealed to the media for privacy during this transitional period.
Prior to their marriage in 2013, Prakash and Saindhavi shared a decade-long courtship, starting from their school days. Their union was blessed with a daughter named Anvi in 2020.
While GV Prakash is presently engrossed in numerous projects in both the Telugu and Tamil film industries, serving as a composer and actor, Saindhavi’s career as a singer flourished primarily in Tamil and Telugu cinema. However, she took a hiatus from her professional pursuits following the birth of their child. Notably, she contributed her melodious vocals to over a dozen chart-topping songs, including “Premadesam Yuvarani” from Sakthi and “Sootiga Choodaku” from Ishq.
