Andhra Pradesh Minister Nadendla Manohar Announces Major Sports Infrastructure and Development Plans for Tenali

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies of Andhra Pradesh, Nadendla Manohar, has unveiled plans for the construction of a state-of-the-art sports stadium in Tenali, aimed at fostering sports development in the region. The new stadium will be built on 1.76 acres of municipal land and is estimated to cost ₹3 crore. The integrated sports complex will feature a volleyball and basketball court, along with a swimming pool to cater to a variety of sports enthusiasts.

In addition to the sports infrastructure, the minister highlighted several other significant development initiatives for Tenali. These include the expansion of major roads, improvement in healthcare services, and the introduction of a protected drinking water supply scheme. Furthermore, efforts are underway to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Tenali, with a focus on supporting local artists.

To enhance safety and security, plans are also in place to install surveillance cameras around the town. The road infrastructure will also be improved, with the widening of roads within the town limits.

For rural development, a ₹25 crore allocation has been made for the improvement of rural roads. Among the first beneficiaries of this initiative will be the Tenali-Kollipara CC roads. In addition, Chinaravuru Park will receive ₹20 lakh for renovations, with beautification work set to be completed by December 30. Another significant project involves the construction of Ikarus Park in Tenali’s Aitanagar, for which ₹1.15 crore has been allocated. Repairs to the Duggirala-Mangalagiri road are also expected to be completed in time for the Sankranti festival.

Minister Manohar’s announcement reflects a comprehensive vision for the growth and development of Tenali, encompassing sports, infrastructure, cultural preservation, and rural development.
