Chandrababu Naidu Seeks Major Investments for Andhra Pradesh, Engages with Godrej for ₹2800 Crore Project

In recent weeks, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has focused intensively on attracting investments to the state. His proactive approach includes high-profile meetings with global financial and industrial leaders. Notably, Naidu has engaged with representatives from the World Bank, Brookfield Corporation, and several leading companies in the electric vehicle and alternative energy sectors, aiming to establish Andhra Pradesh as a central hub for non-conventional energy production.

Continuing his aggressive investment drive, Naidu recently met with executives from the Godrej Group, led by Chairman and Managing Director Nadir Godrej. The discussions centered on a substantial investment of ₹2800 crore, potentially earmarked for pesticide manufacturing in the state. Naidu confirmed this development via social media, highlighting the potential for significant economic benefits. “I had a fruitful meeting with a delegation of Godrej Industries. We discussed potential investments in Amaravati and Visakhapatnam, including INR 2800 crore for pesticide manufacturing,” Naidu tweeted.

Beyond the immediate investment in pesticide manufacturing, Naidu explored additional opportunities with Godrej, including prospects in agriculture, aquaculture, and real estate. Securing such investments would bolster Andhra Pradesh’s reputation as a secure and attractive business destination.

While Naidu is actively courting investors, his son, Nara Lokesh, is also making strides in economic development. Lokesh recently met with representatives from Foxconn, signaling a coordinated effort by the father-son duo to rejuvenate Andhra Pradesh’s economy from the outset of their political tenure.

These strategic meetings reflect Naidu’s and Lokesh’s commitment to driving substantial economic growth and investment into Andhra Pradesh, underscoring their ambitious vision for the state’s development.
