Nani’s ‘Hit: The Third Case’ Certified ‘A’ by Censor Board, Set for May 1 Release
The much-anticipated thriller Hit: The Third Case, directed by Sailesh Kolanu and featuring actor Nani in a gritty new avatar, has officially received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The clearance signals the film’s intense content, with high-voltage action and psychological depth, and clears the path for its global release on May 1, 2025.
Announcing the certification, Nani took to social media to share a striking new poster with a bold ‘A’ emblazoned across it, accompanied by the caption:
“A for ARJUN SARKAAR. CERTIFIED. #HIT3 #HIT3FromMay1st”
The poster also bore a chilling caution: “Warning: Sarkaar’s rage and violence is certified.”
The film, the third installment in the HIT (Homicide Intervention Team) universe, has generated substantial buzz following the release of a gripping trailer. In it, Nani’s character—Arjun Sarkaar—lays bare his no-nonsense stance on justice. “Criminals belong in a 10-feet lock up or deep inside a six-feet hole,” he declares, underlining the psychological intensity and moral dilemma that drive the narrative.
The plot seems to revolve around a nerve-racking child abduction case, with powerful emotional undertones. A desperate mother describes the suspect to Sarkaar, while a shopkeeper’s voiceover extols a soldier-like figure who tirelessly defends lives—hinting at Arjun’s vigilante-style persona.
One of the trailer’s most powerful lines comes during a moment of intimacy between Arjun and his love interest, played by Srinidhi Shetty:
“When I am in the midst of people, call me Arjun. When I am among criminals, I am Sarkaar.”
Earlier teasers confirmed Nani’s transformation into the fierce and complex cop Arjun Sarkaar. With visuals of intense combat, analytical crime-solving, and a dark undertone, the film promises to balance raw action with emotional and psychological intrigue.
Produced by Prashanthi Tipirneni under Wall Poster Cinema, Hit: The Third Case is helmed by Dr. Sailesh Kolanu, the creator of the HIT universe. The film boasts music by Mickey J Meyer, cinematography by Sanu John Varghese, and editing by Karthika Srinivas R.
With high expectations from fans and critics alike, Hit: The Third Case looks set to deliver a gritty, edge-of-the-seat cinematic experience come May 1.
