NEET-PG 2025 Postponed; Exam to Be Held in Single Shift as per Supreme Court Directive
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced on Monday that the NEET-PG 2025 examination, initially scheduled for June 15, has been postponed. The rescheduling comes in response to a directive from the Supreme Court, which has ordered the exam to be conducted in a single shift to ensure uniformity and fairness for all candidates.
In a statement, NBEMS said that conducting the examination in a single shift will require significant logistical adjustments, including increasing the number of exam centers and upgrading infrastructure to accommodate all candidates simultaneously. The Supreme Court has also instructed that the exam be held at verified and secure centers with complete transparency in the process.
Previously, the NEET-PG was conducted in multiple shifts, often raising concerns over discrepancies in difficulty levels. Moving to a single-shift format aims to eliminate such inconsistencies and uphold the integrity of the examination. NBEMS has assured that the revised date for the NEET-PG 2025 will be announced soon. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates.
