The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to administer the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET-UG 2024 on May 5, 2024. This undergraduate medical entrance examination will accommodate over 24 lakh candidates across various centers from 2:00 pm to 5:20 pm. The examination will be conducted in 557 cities across the nation and 14 cities outside India. The results are scheduled to be announced on June 14, 2024.
Candidates participating in the examination are advised to review the following set of guidelines released by NTA prior to the examination day. Engaging in any of the following unfair practices will constitute a violation of examination rules:
Possession of prohibited items or articles that could be used for unfair practices, including stationery items, communication devices, accessories, food items, ornaments, or any other material or information relevant or irrelevant to the examination in question. Engaging someone else to write the examination (impersonation) or preparing material for copying. Assisting other candidates in engaging in malpractices, providing or receiving assistance directly or indirectly, or attempting to do so. Writing questions or answers on any material other than the answer sheet provided by the Centre Superintendent for writing answers.
Tearing the answer sheet, any page of the test booklet, etc. Contacting or communicating with any person other than the examination staff during the examination. Removing the answer sheet (Original OMR/Office Copy of OMR) from the examination hall/room. Illegally taking away the Question Paper or its part or the answer sheet or part thereof. Threatening any officials involved in the conduct of the examination or threatening any candidates. Using or attempting to use any other undesirable method or means in connection with the examination. Manipulating and fabricating online documents such as admit cards, rank letters, etc. Forceful entry or exit from the examination center/hall. Use or attempted use of any electronic device after entering the examination center. Affixing/uploading of incorrect or morphed photographs on the application form/admit card/proforma. Erasing or obliterating any information printed on the OMR answer sheet. Providing incorrect information or overwriting the roll number, test booklet number, candidate’s name, or any other details on the OMR answer sheet. Making false claims by manipulating the responses in the OMR sheet or tampering with it in any way whatsoever, uploaded on the website for challenge before or after the declaration of the result.
