During the tenure of the YSR Congress, Kodali Nani was known for his relentless verbal attacks on Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan. However, following the party’s loss of power, Nani has maintained a lower profile, making only occasional media appearances.
Recently, a police case was filed against Nani in Gudivada, accusing him of coercing volunteers to resign from their positions and work for the YSR Congress Party. This case is still under investigation. Today, another case was filed against Nani, alleging his involvement in the suicide of an elderly woman.
Duggirala Prabhakar, a resident of Gudivada, lodged a complaint against Nani, claiming that the former MLA’s actions led to his mother’s death by humiliation.
According to the complainant, Prabhakar obtained an AP Beverages warehouse license in 2011. After the YSR Congress came to power in 2019, Kodali Nani, along with AP Beverages MD Vasudev Reddy and Madhavi Reddy, allegedly pressured Prabhakar and his family to relinquish the license to an individual named Padma Reddy.
Prabhakar stated that when his mother, Seethamahalakshmi, appealed to Vasudeva Reddy regarding this unjust behavior, Madhavi Reddy came to their home and verbally abused her. Unable to bear the humiliation, Seethamahalakshmi committed suicide. Prabhakar, now seeking justice for the abuse of power under Kodali Nani’s regime, has filed a police complaint. Multiple charges, including sections 448 and 507, have been filed against Nani at the Gudivada police station.
