Fresh Complaint Lodged Against KTR Over Alleged Tender Irregularities
Telangana’s former minister and BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) is facing new legal scrutiny as a fresh complaint has been filed with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). The complaint, lodged by BC Political Joint Action Committee (JAC) President Yugandhar, alleges irregularities in the tendering process for the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and claims KTR’s involvement in a corruption scandal related to the project.
Yugandhar, in his formal submission to the ACB, has called for a thorough investigation into the tender process, urging authorities to take appropriate action if KTR’s involvement is confirmed. The complaint highlights concerns over transparency and fairness in the tender allocation, specifically focusing on the alleged discrepancies in the project’s bidding process.
This is not the only legal issue KTR is currently dealing with. He is also entangled in a case related to the Formula E race held in Hyderabad. A previous case was registered concerning the event, with KTR filing a petition to quash the charges. However, the Telangana High Court recently dismissed his petition, allowing the investigation to proceed further.
As per the latest developments, the ACB is set to question KTR on Thursday regarding the allegations raised in both cases. Yugandhar, in his complaint, has stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in governance and has called for a swift and impartial investigation to ensure justice.
The situation has drawn considerable attention, with critics and political opponents demanding that the authorities take strict action if KTR is found guilty of any wrongdoing. The ACB’s investigation into these allegations is being closely monitored, as it could have significant implications for KTR’s political future and the BRS party in Telangana.
