Amit Shah: No Talks with Pakistan Until Terrorism is Eradicated in J&K
In a strong address at an election rally in Nowshera, Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that no stone pelter or terrorist will be released in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that there will be no dialogue with Pakistan until terrorism is completely eradicated. Shah’s remarks came in support of J-K BJP president Ravinder Raina, where he challenged the NC-Congress alliance for allegedly advocating the release of stone pelters and terrorists.
Shah referred to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir as “lions” and expressed his commitment to engaging with them instead of Pakistan. He criticized leaders like Farooq Abdullah and Rahul Gandhi for their positions on dialogue with Pakistan, reiterating that the Modi government will decisively confront terrorism.
Highlighting the government’s efforts to ensure security for border residents, he noted that the construction of underground bunkers would become unnecessary as the Indian forces are fully prepared to respond to any aggression. Shah also defended the existing reservation policies, stating that the rights of marginalized communities, including Paharis, Gujjars, Dalits, and other backward classes, will not be compromised despite opposition from political figures like Rahul Gandhi.
Shah’s remarks underline the BJP’s firm stance on national security and its electoral strategy in Jammu and Kashmir as it prepares for upcoming elections.
