Noman Ali Makes History with Hat-Trick in Pakistan’s Test Against West Indies
In a historic achievement during the second Test against the West Indies in Multan, Pakistan’s Noman Ali made cricketing history by becoming the first Pakistan spinner to take a hat-trick since the country’s Test debut in 1952.
The 36-year-old spinner delivered an outstanding performance, dismissing Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach, and Kevin Sinclair in consecutive deliveries. His remarkable feat was a pivotal moment in the match as the West Indies, who opted to bat first, struggled against Noman’s exceptional spell of bowling.
At one point, the West Indies were reeling at 38 for seven, but a resilient fightback from the tailenders managed to salvage their innings. Gudakesh Motie top-scored with a gritty half-century (55), while Kemar Roach contributed 25 runs and Jomel Warrican added 36 runs. Despite their efforts, the West Indies were eventually bowled out for 163 runs.
Noman Ali was the star of the day, finishing with six wickets, while Sajid Khan supported with two wickets and Kashif Ali and Abrar Ahmed each claimed one. His hat-trick was a historic moment for Pakistan cricket, further cementing his place in the annals of the sport.
