Pawan Kalyan Condemns Attack on Chilkur Balaji Temple Priest, Calls it an Assault on Dharma
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed strong disapproval and anguish over the recent attack on C.S. Rangarajan, the chief priest of Chilkur Balaji Temple. Describing the assault as deeply distressing, Kalyan emphasized that it was not just an attack on an individual, but on the very essence of Dharma.
The incident occurred when a mob, allegedly claiming to be members of ‘Rama Rajya,’ assaulted Rangarajan, who has been tirelessly working for the preservation of Dharma and the sanctity of temple traditions for decades. Kalyan demanded a thorough investigation into the matter, urging the police to identify the perpetrators and punish them strictly.
“This attack on Rangarajan must be condemned in the strongest terms. He has been an unwavering protector of Dharma and Hindu temple administration. His contributions to preserving the values of Sanatana Dharma are immeasurable,” Pawan Kalyan stated.
Kalyan further reflected on Rangarajan’s guidance in his own initiatives for the preservation of Hindu traditions, including the launch of the ‘Temple Movement.’ He expressed his concern for Rangarajan’s well-being and pledged support, directing the Telangana wing of Jana Sena to visit Chilkur and show solidarity with the priest.
The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with Kalyan stressing the importance of treating the attack as a serious matter, calling on the Telangana government to take appropriate action.
