Pawan Kalyan Pays Tribute to Amaravati Farmers at Capital Relaunch Ceremony
At the ceremonial relaunch of Amaravati’s development works, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan honored the farmers whose voluntary land contributions have been pivotal in the capital city’s establishment.
Addressing the gathering, Pawan Kalyan expressed profound respect for the farmers’ sacrifices, stating, “I bow my head in respect to the struggle undertaken by the farmers of Amaravati for the sake of the capital.” He emphasized that their donations were not merely of land but of a vision for the state’s future, describing their actions as a “righteous struggle” that would be honored through the creation of a remarkable capital city.
The Deputy Chief Minister also criticized the previous administration for its handling of Amaravati’s development, alleging that it had devastated the region “like a cyclone from the Diviseema area.” He highlighted the hardships faced by farmers during that period and assured that their sacrifices would not be forgotten.
Pawan Kalyan acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence at the event, noting that despite the recent tragedy in Pahalgam, the Prime Minister made time to attend, demonstrating his strong affection for Amaravati. He also lauded Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu as a visionary leader, drawing parallels between his past achievements in building Hyderabad’s Hi-Tech City and his current efforts to develop Amaravati. The Deputy Chief Minister expressed confidence that under the leadership of Narendra Modi and Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh would experience significant progress.
The event marked a significant step in the redevelopment of Amaravati, with commitments to honor the contributions of the farmers and ensure inclusive development for the state.
