Pawan Kalyan Responds to Union Budget 2025-26, Praises Key Allocations for Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed his appreciation for the Union Budget 2025-26, which was presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In his statement, Pawan Kalyan highlighted the budget’s focus on national development, particularly in areas like women’s empowerment, youth welfare, farmers’ support, and relief for the middle class. He emphasized that the budget reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) and prioritizes the welfare of citizens over political interests.
Pawan Kalyan also lauded the Union government’s continued support for Andhra Pradesh, especially in relation to key infrastructural projects. He pointed out the significant step of approving revised estimates for the Polavaram project, which he believes will expedite its completion. Furthermore, he commended the ₹3,295 crore allocation to the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, reinforcing the government’s commitment to the protection and revitalization of this vital national asset.
In addition to these infrastructural developments, Pawan Kalyan welcomed the Union Budget’s provisions for tax relief, particularly the exemption of income tax for individuals earning up to ₹12 lakh annually. He noted that this move would greatly benefit the middle class, contributing to their financial security.
Pawan Kalyan expressed confidence in the state government’s ability, under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, to effectively utilize the resources and initiatives laid out in the Union Budget for the state’s growth and progress.
