Pawan Kalyan Distributes Footwear to Adivasi Villagers in Heartfelt Outreach

As part of the Adivi Thalli Baata initiative, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan paid a visit to the tribal village of Pedapadu in Dumbriguda Mandal earlier this month. The visit, which took place on April 7, turned into a compassionate moment of action after an emotional encounter with a local resident.
During the visit, Pawan Kalyan was approached by an elderly tribal woman, Paangi Miththu, who walked barefoot to greet him. Deeply moved by her gesture and the hardships faced by villagers lacking basic necessities, the Deputy Chief Minister responded immediately.
He directed officials from the employment guarantee scheme to conduct a detailed survey of the village to determine the number of residents and their footwear sizes. Acting on the instructions, his office facilitated the distribution of footwear to 345 villagers by Thursday.
Later that evening, representatives from the Deputy Chief Minister’s office, along with Boyipalli Pawan, local team members, and village sarpanch Venkatarao, personally visited each household in Pedapadu to deliver the footwear directly to the residents.
The gesture was met with visible joy and gratitude from the tribal community. Women in the village were seen smiling as they tried on their new footwear, and many expressed heartfelt thanks to Pawan Kalyan for recognizing their struggles and offering tangible support.
This outreach forms part of the broader Adivi Thalli Baata initiative, which aims to address the basic needs of tribal communities and bridge longstanding development gaps in remote regions.
Pawan Kalyan’s action has been widely appreciated for its immediacy and personal touch, signaling a shift toward more responsive governance in underserved areas.
