Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan Investigates Fund Depletion in Swachch Andhra Department
Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, who also serves as the Panchayat Raj Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, is currently addressing concerns about significant fund depletion in a key department under his jurisdiction.
According to a trending social media report, the Swachch Andhra department, established by former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in 2015, has experienced a substantial outflow of funds. In the 2020-21 fiscal year, when the YCP government was newly in power, the department reportedly had Rs 2092 crore in funds. However, by the end of the YCP government’s term in 2024, the department’s funds had dwindled to just Rs 7.04 crore.
Pawan Kalyan, upon reviewing the fiscal report of the department, was reportedly taken aback by the drastic reduction in funds. He has since called for a comprehensive report on the financial transactions that led to this depletion. A detailed investigation into the matter is likely to be initiated soon.
