Pawan Kalyan Wraps Up Shooting for ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’; Grand Trailer on the Way
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Telugu cinema icon Pawan Kalyan has officially completed filming for his much-anticipated historical action drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The film, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A.M. Jyothi Krishna, is slated for theatrical release on May 9, 2025.
The announcement was made via the movie’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, which stated:
“Powerstar @PawanKalyan Garu finishes shooting for #HariHaraVeeraMallu. The shoot wraps with a bang, and what’s coming next will set screens on fire! A massive trailer and blockbuster songs are on the way!”
The final shooting schedule concluded this week, with director A.M. Jyothi Krishna previously confirming on X that Pawan Kalyan had joined the final two days of production.
“With this, the monumental journey of the shoot comes to a grand close,” he wrote. “Get ready for the long-awaited, EXPLOSIVE trailer and ELECTRIFYING songs!”
A Period Epic Rooted in Resistance
Set during the Mughal era under Emperor Aurangzeb, Hari Hara Veera Mallu explores a turbulent chapter in Indian history marked by foreign plunder by powers such as the Dutch and Portuguese. Described as an adventure epic, the film combines historical grandeur with socio-political commentary, promising audiences a visually rich and emotionally resonant experience.
Produced by A. Dayakar Rao under the Mega Surya Production banner, the film features an ensemble cast including Nidhhi Agerwal, Bobby Deol, Nassar, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, and Sunil. The project brings together acclaimed technicians like cinematographers Manoj Paramahamsa and Gnanashekar V.S., with production design by Thota Tharani.
Music That Echoes Through Time
The soundtrack, composed by Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravaani, is expected to play a key role in the film’s storytelling. One track, Maata Vinali (Telugu) / Kekkanum Guruve (Tamil), released earlier, generated significant buzz due to Pawan Kalyan lending his own voice for the Telugu version.
The Tamil version was penned by lyricist Pa Vijay, while the Telugu lyrics were written by Penchal Das. Advanced AI technology was employed to replicate Kalyan’s vocal tone for other language versions, ensuring a consistent and authentic experience for his fan base across India.
The music, drawing comparisons to classic philosophical songs of yesteryears, particularly those associated with M.G. Ramachandran, is being hailed as both inspirational and timeless.
Anticipation Builds
With the shoot now wrapped and promotional materials—including a major trailer drop and soundtrack release—expected imminently, the excitement around Hari Hara Veera Mallu is intensifying. The film is poised to be a major milestone in Pawan Kalyan’s cinematic and public life, especially as he balances his role in state governance with his enduring star power.
