Tamil actor Arjun Das, known for his iconic baritone, has lent his voice to the trailer of director A.M. Jyothi Krisna’s upcoming historical epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit, starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan in the lead. Following the trailer’s release on Thursday, Arjun Das took to social media to express his admiration and support for the project.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Arjun Das wrote:
“When #PawanKalyan garu asks you to lend your voice for his movie trailer, you say yes. No questions asked! This one is for you, Sir. @PawanKalyan Sir, wishing you and your entire team the very best for #HHVM #HariHaraVeeraMallu.”
The much-anticipated trailer opens with Arjun Das’s resonant voiceover, setting a dramatic tone:
“At a time when you had to pay tax to live as a Hindu… When the Emperor crushed this nation’s hard work beneath his feet… When nature herself was awaiting the arrival of a warrior…”
As the narrative unfolds, a sense of urgency builds. Orders are issued to eliminate a mysterious rider en route from Golconda to Delhi: “He must not reach there alive.”
The trailer then introduces Bobby Deol as the ruthless Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, who declares:
“This is the history I script. Do you want a throne or a death warrant?”
The plot revolves around the legendary Kohinoor diamond, with a royal courtier proclaiming:
“There is only one Kohinoor on this earth. To bring it home, we need a weapon of destiny, like Lord Rama’s arrow.”
Enter Pawan Kalyan as Hari Hara Veera Mallu — a rebellious warrior with a cause. In a rousing moment, he asserts:
“You might have seen tigers that hunt goats. Now, you will see a royal tiger hunting other tigers.”
Nidhhi Agerwal appears as Panchami, seemingly imprisoned and awaiting rescue, while Bobby Deol’s Aurangzeb prepares for a fierce showdown with Pawan Kalyan’s character.Director Jyothi Krisna, in an earlier interview with IANS, revealed that the film took over 200 days to shoot and is rooted in a lesser-known episode from the Mughal era. “This is a 16th-century story — a blend of fact and fiction. Pawan Kalyan plays a Robin Hood-like character, a thief with a purpose,” he explained.
Originally slated for a June 12 release, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit is now set to hit theatres on July 24, 2025.
With grand visuals by cinematographers Manoj Paramahamsa and Gnanashekar V.S., majestic production design by Thota Tharani, and sharp editing by National Award-winner K.L. Praveen, the film promises an immersive cinematic experience. The ensemble cast also includes Nassar, Sathyaraj, Thalaivasal Vijay, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, and Sunil.
