Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ on Hold Amid Political Commitments, Producer Confirms
As anticipated, Pawan Kalyan has significantly slowed down his film commitments after assuming the role of Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. His political duties and governmental responsibilities have made it increasingly difficult for him to allocate time for film shoots, leading to mounting speculations about the future of his much-awaited project Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
The film, directed by Harish Shankar, had already commenced shooting, and a title teaser had been released to much fanfare. However, with Kalyan’s tightly packed schedule, reports have suggested that completing the film could become a logistical challenge, as a significant portion of the shoot is still pending.
In response to these concerns, Ravi Shankar, the producer of Ustaad Bhagat Singh under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, has issued a statement addressing the situation. He confirmed that the film’s director, Harish Shankar, has locked an extraordinary script and that they are waiting for Kalyan to become available to continue filming.
“We are waiting for Kalyan Garu to get his dates. We are determined to complete the shooting this year and release the film next year. A Pawan Kalyan film always generates immense buzz, and this one will be no different. It will be a prestigious project for us in the coming year,” Ravi Shankar stated.
Pawan Kalyan has previously expressed that he would continue working in films as long as there is a need for financial resources. Given this, it is expected that once his political commitments allow, he will resume filming for Ustaad Bhagat Singh, along with other projects such as OG and Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
Fans eagerly await his return to the silver screen, with the promise of much-anticipated films under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers.
