Telugu actor Ram Charan’s highly anticipated pan-India film Peddi has been making waves ever since the release of its striking first-look poster on March 27, which coincided with the actor’s birthday. The poster, which featured Charan in an intense, macho avatar, quickly trended nationwide and set the stage for the film’s upcoming release.
This morning, the makers of Peddi teased fans with the promise of a massive announcement as a special Ugadi treat. True to their word, the exciting update has arrived: the much-awaited first shot video glimpse of the film will be unveiled on April 6th, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami.
Producer Ravi Kumar of Mythri Movie Makers had previously raised expectations by claiming that this particular shot would be watched by fans at least a thousand times. The announcement poster showcases Charan taking a bold leap, with hundreds of extras waving flags in the background, hinting at the high-octane action and drama that the film will deliver.
Peddi is set in a village backdrop and revolves around native sports action, where Charan will portray an expert athlete skilled in power cricket, wrestling, and kabaddi. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, will see Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar playing Charan’s coach, adding to the excitement surrounding the project.
The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor in a lead role, marking her second project in Tollywood after Devara.
