Prime Minister and Union Home Minister Extend Greetings on Hindi Diwas
New Delhi: On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended their greetings to the nation, celebrating the significance of the Hindi language.
In a message posted on X, Prime Minister Modi conveyed his best wishes to the people, marking Hindi Diwas, which is observed annually on September 14. This day commemorates the adoption of Hindi as the official language of India by the Constituent Assembly on September 14, 1949.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also shared his greetings, emphasizing the integral connection between Hindi and other Indian languages. He highlighted that Hindi, as the official language, has a profound relationship with every Indian language, and acknowledged that the nation’s progress is intertwined with the enrichment of all Indian languages.
“Heartiest greetings of Hindi Diwas to all the countrymen… Official language Hindi has an unbreakable relationship with every Indian language,” Shah stated, reflecting on the pride and heritage associated with India’s linguistic diversity.
