PM Modi Highlights Stability and Growth at NDTV World Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the NDTV World Summit on Monday, emphasizing the mandate of stability granted by the Indian populace, which has supported his government for three consecutive terms. He noted that this stability was further reinforced by the recent Haryana Assembly election results, where the BJP secured 48 out of 90 seats, defying exit polls.

Modi spoke about India’s “double AI” advantage, referring to the synergy between “aspirational India” and “artificial intelligence.” He asserted that this combination is crucial for driving rapid development. “When the power of aspirational India and artificial intelligence combines, it is natural for development to take place at a fast pace,” he stated.

Highlighting India’s role on the global stage, Modi recalled how the country supported numerous nations with vaccine supplies during the Covid-19 pandemic, reinforcing India’s image as a reliable ally. “India does not have ‘taken for granted’ relations; its relations are built on trust and reliability,” he said, noting that the world celebrates India’s progress, as it benefits all.

Reflecting on India’s historical context, Modi acknowledged that while the country has faced challenges, it is now poised for a new industrial era. He emphasized that India is not only a developing country but also a rising power, actively building the skill sets and infrastructure needed for Industry 4.0.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the government is rapidly formulating policies and implementing reforms to address poverty while facilitating progress. He stated, “India is giving hope to a world engulfed in various concerns, and is working on an unprecedented scale and speed in every field.”

Modi also remarked on the recent upward revisions of India’s growth forecast by various agencies, attributing this to the accelerated pace of work in his government’s third term. He expressed a forward-looking vision for the country, aiming for a “Viksit Bharat” (developed India) by 2047.

Asserting the significance of the current era, Modi stated, “The 21st century is the most important in human history. There is a need for stability, sustainability, and solutions for a better future for humanity, and India is striving for them.”

Through his remarks, Modi encapsulated the dual themes of stability and progress, presenting India as a nation ready to leverage its youth and technological advancements for future growth.
