East Singhbhum: PM Modi Criticizes Congress and JMM for Lack of Development Knowledge
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a public rally in Jamshedpur, East Singhbhum, launched a scathing critique of the Congress and its coalition partner in Jharkhand, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), accusing them of being ignorant about development. He renewed his attack on the Congress, particularly targeting Rahul Gandhi and the party’s promise to conduct a nationwide wealth redistribution if elected.
“The Congress and the JMM know nothing about development,” PM Modi asserted. “Their only goal is to steal public wealth and assets. They continuously spread lies and seek to confiscate the meager possessions of the poor under the guise of wealth redistribution. They aim to undermine the reservations guaranteed for SCs, STs, and OBCs. They hurl abuses at me daily. Can’t they think beyond this? Their true faces have been unmasked before the nation today.”
Addressing the recent cash recovery from the house of the domestic help of a Congress leader’s aide, Modi accused the Congress and JMM of exploiting Jharkhand’s resources. “The leaders of the Congress and the JMM have amassed black money at the expense of the poor. They have looted Jharkhand at every opportunity. The Congress is the mother of corruption. Nowadays, when we think of Jharkhand, we envision piles of currency notes,” he stated.
PM Modi vowed to recover and return all stolen money to the people. “The JMM engaged in a land scam in Jharkhand, seizing land from poor tribals and the army. The mountains of cash found in their homes belong to you. Modi is committed to recovering and returning this money to its rightful owners. This is my guarantee,” he proclaimed.
He also criticized Rahul Gandhi for his stance against wealth creators, accusing the Congress of treating entrepreneurs as enemies of the state. “The Congress views our entrepreneurs and wealth creators as adversaries. Their leaders openly attack businessmen who do not contribute to their coffers. This neglects the welfare of our industries and youth,” PM Modi remarked.
“The Congress’ ‘Shehzada’ continuously opposes business houses and investors. Which businessman would invest in states governed by such hostility? Investors have told me they are unwilling to invest in these states due to the ruling parties’ opposition to wealth creation. They face abuse and insults. Our investors and wealth creators perceive that since Rahul harbors such views, his partners do as well,” he added.
Calling the Congress a family-centric party, Modi noted Rahul Gandhi’s shift from Wayanad to Raebareli, playing on emotional connections to his mother’s former constituency. “Rahul fled Wayanad to contest in Raebareli, appealing to sentiments around it being his mother’s seat. Even a child would know better than to claim his school as his father’s just because the latter studied there. Jharkhand must be saved from parties that serve only their families, not the people,” PM Modi said.
Raebareli, a historically significant seat for the Congress, will be a hotly contested battleground in the upcoming elections, with BJP’s Dinesh Pratap Singh challenging Rahul Gandhi. Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who represented Raebareli in the Lok Sabha since 2004, vacated the seat earlier this year.
