Mumbai: Prime Minister Modi to Launch Election Campaign in Maharashtra Ahead of Assembly Polls

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a series of rallies in Maharashtra from November 8 to 14 as the state gears up for the Assembly elections scheduled for November 20. BJP leaders have confirmed that the Prime Minister will conduct 11 rallies during this period.

Rally Schedule and Key Figures

Maharashtra BJP Chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule outlined the Prime Minister’s itinerary, which includes rallies in Dhule and Nashik on November 8, Akola and Nanded on November 9, followed by events in Chandrapur, Chimur, Solapur, and Pune on November 12. On November 14, Modi will conclude his campaign in Sambhajinagar, Navi Mumbai, and Mumbai.

In addition to the Prime Minister, several high-profile BJP leaders are expected to participate in the campaign. Home Minister Amit Shah is anticipated to address around 20 rallies, while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled for approximately 22. Union Health Minister and BJP President JP Nadda will conduct about 13 rallies, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, a Maharashtra native, plans to address around 50 events. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is expected to hold around 55 rallies.

Focus on Welfare Schemes

BJP leaders emphasized that the campaign will highlight the MahaYuti government’s welfare initiatives. “We will showcase the government’s welfare schemes and achievements, including the Ladli Behna Yojana, an electricity waiver benefiting 44 lakh farmers, and 58 initiatives that directly impact the public. The MahaYuti alliance is committed to showcasing its dedication to Maharashtra’s development. We aim to establish a double-engine government in the state,” stated a BJP leader.

Intensifying Campaigns

As the elections approach, both the ruling MahaYuti alliance and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA)—comprising the Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Congress—are ramping up their preparations for the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly elections. The BJP, as part of the ruling MahaYuti alliance alongside the Eknath Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCP, is gearing up for a robust campaign to secure its position in the state.

The upcoming rallies by Prime Minister Modi and other leaders are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping voter sentiment as Maharashtra heads towards the polls.
