Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to file his nomination papers for the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh on May 14, as confirmed by officials. Preceding this event, a grand roadshow is scheduled to take place in his parliamentary constituency on May 13.
According to district authorities, the Prime Minister will commence the roadshow by paying homage to the statue of Madan Mohan Malviya at the main entrance of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Lanka. The roadshow will culminate at the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, traversing through various significant locations.
Anticipating a massive turnout, officials expect lakhs of people to participate in the roadshow, demonstrating the overwhelming support for PM Modi.
BJP leader Dilip Patel outlined the route of PM Modi’s five-kilometer-long roadshow, spanning Assi, Sonarpura, Jangam Bari, Godaulia, and Bansphatak, culminating at the Vishwanath Corridor. The event is poised to witness a grand reception for the Prime Minister, with meticulous arrangements underway to ensure its historic significance.
Preparations are in full swing, with meetings scheduled for all Assembly constituencies within the Varanasi parliamentary constituency. Following these assemblies, further meetings will be conducted across all 21 divisions, with the party organization striving for the participation of lakhs of workers in this monumental roadshow.
Varanasi holds a special significance for the Prime Minister, being his stronghold where he emerged victorious twice, securing the seat in both 2014 and 2019.”
