Prime Minister Modi will spend the night in Varanasi and travel to Bihar on Wednesday morning, according to official sources.
During the occasion, Prime Minister Modi will release the 17th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, amounting to over Rs 20,000 crore, benefiting approximately 9.26 crore farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer.
To date, more than 11 crore eligible farmer families have received benefits totaling over Rs 3.04 lakh crore under the PM-KISAN scheme.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will present certificates to over 30,000 women from Self Help Groups (SHGs) as part of the Krishi Sakhi Convergence Program (KSCP). The KSCP aims to empower rural women by training and certifying them as Krishi Sakhis, or Para Extension Workers.
