PM Modi Vows Unrelenting Action Against Pahalgam Terror Attack Perpetrators: ‘Will Pursue Them to the Ends of the Earth’
In his first public statement since the barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful and emotionally charged message from Madhubani, Bihar, on National Panchayati Raj Day. Addressing a large gathering, the Prime Minister vowed that India would relentlessly pursue and punish the terrorists and their sponsors, emphasizing that terrorism would not go unanswered.
Calling the Pahalgam attack, which left 26 civilians dead, a “cowardly assault” on India’s soul, Modi said, “From the soil of Bihar, I want to tell the world — India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth.”
In a heartfelt tribute to the victims, the Prime Minister urged the audience to observe a two-minute silence in their memory. He noted the diversity of the victims, symbolizing national unity in grief. “Some spoke Bangla, some Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Gujarati, and Bihari. From Kargil to Kanyakumari, we are all grieving,” he said.
With a firm tone, Modi reiterated the nation’s unwavering stand against terrorism. “India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism. Every effort will be made to ensure justice. Everyone who believes in humanity is with us,” he declared.
Describing the attack as an affront to the nation’s core values, the Prime Minister said: “The brutal killing of innocent citizens in Pahalgam has deeply saddened the country. It is an attack on our very soul.” He added that the masterminds behind the assault would face punishment “far greater than they can imagine.”
The terror attack, carried out by The Resistance Front (TRF)—a Pakistan-based terrorist group affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba—has provoked both national outrage and international condemnation.
In response, India has launched a series of retaliatory diplomatic and strategic actions, including:
- Suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty
- Expulsion of Pakistani military attachés
- Closure of the Attari-Wagah border crossing
- Cancellation of the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme for Pakistani nationals
PM Modi also extended his gratitude to the international community for standing in solidarity with India. “We thank all nations that have expressed support during this difficult time,” he said.
As the nation mourns, the government’s strong messaging and swift diplomatic responses underscore India’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and upholding justice for its citizens.
