Posani Krishna Murali Granted Bail in CID Case
Prominent actor Posani Krishna Murali has been granted bail by the Guntur Court after a legal battle concerning a case registered by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The actor, who had been held as a remand prisoner at the Guntur District Jail, filed a bail petition through his lawyers, seeking release.
The court initially deferred its decision on the bail petition but ultimately granted relief to Posani following a hearing on Friday. The actor had been arrested on February 26 in Hyderabad, and multiple charges had been filed against him. A total of 19 cases were registered in Andhra Pradesh, stemming from allegations that Posani made inflammatory remarks within the film industry related to awards and directed inappropriate comments at political figures, including Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh.
The granting of bail comes as a significant development in the case, as Posani can now await further legal proceedings outside of jail.
