Actor Posani Krishna Murali Sent to 14-Day Judicial Remand in Kurnool Court
Prominent actor Posani Krishna Murali has been sent to a 14-day judicial remand by a Kurnool court following allegations of making inappropriate remarks about Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Nara Lokesh, and their family members. The remarks reportedly sparked controversy, leading to a case being filed against him at the Adoni Third Town Police Station in Kurnool district.
Posani was already in judicial custody in Guntur district for a similar case when the Adoni police requested his transfer. Upon receiving approval from the relevant authorities, Posani was handed over to the police, underwent a medical examination, and was subsequently transported to Kurnool. He was then presented before the magistrate for a hearing.
After reviewing the arguments from both sides, the court ordered that Posani be remanded to judicial custody until March 18. He was then transferred to Kurnool district jail for the duration of his remand.
In a separate case filed in Narasaraopet, a court had previously sent Posani to judicial remand until March 13. Across the state, a total of 17 cases have been registered against him, underscoring the ongoing legal challenges he faces.
