The wait is nearly over for fans of Power Star Pawan Kalyan, as his ambitious historical action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit gears up for its grand theatrical debut on June 12. The film’s production has officially wrapped after an extensive 200-day shoot, and the team is now prepping for censor board clearance in the coming week.
Directed by A.M. Jyothi Krishna, the film unfolds a rich tapestry of history and imagination, set against the backdrop of the 16th-century Mughal era. “The story draws from a lesser-known historical event and reimagines it with dramatic flair,” said the director. “Pawan Kalyan plays a fearless rebel—a Robin Hood-like figure who challenges empire and injustice.”
Joining him on this cinematic journey is actress Nidhhi Agerwal, with Bollywood star Bobby Deol stepping into the role of the formidable Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The film promises intense face-offs, stirring emotion, and high-octane action sequences.
Originally helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the directorial reins were passed to Jyothi Krishna due to pandemic delays and Krish’s scheduling conflicts. Interestingly, Krish remained involved by reworking the screenplay for the first installment. The creators are going all-in with the vision, planning the saga as a multi-part franchise. In fact, around 10% of Part 2 has already been filmed, hinting at the scale and ambition behind this project.
Adding to the film’s grandeur is legendary composer M.M. Keeravani, who is scoring the music. The recently released third single, Asura Hananam, launched at a glitzy Hyderabad event, has already sparked excitement among fans.Rounding out the ensemble cast are veteran actors Nassar, Sathyaraj, Thalaivasal Vijay, and others, promising a powerhouse of performances. As Hari Hara Veera Mallu approaches its release date, it’s shaping up to be more than just a film—it’s a cinematic rebellion rooted in valor, legacy, and spirit.
