Godda: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday accused the BJP-led central government of attempting to alter the Constitution and undermining key institutions like Parliament and the judiciary over the past decade.
Addressing an election rally in Godda, Vadra claimed that those who opposed the Centre’s policies faced victimization.
“If the BJP returns to power, they will change the Constitution and reduce reservations. Over the last ten years, they have weakened democracy and institutions like Parliament and the judiciary,” she alleged.
Vadra emphasized that the Congress’s policies focus on strengthening the rights of tribals, in contrast to the BJP government.
“Prime Minister Modi has unjustly imprisoned former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on false charges, while his wife Kalpana fights bravely. Previously, Parliament engaged in debates to frame laws, but now BJP leaders attack the opposition,” the Congress leader said.
