As previously reported, the team behind “Pushpa 2” had planned extensive location scouting in Bangkok, Malaysia, and Japan for the second half of the film.
However, the looming August 15th deadline has prompted the team to reconsider these plans to avoid any potential delays.
Recent reports indicate that creative director Sukumar has decided to cancel the overseas shoots and instead complete the remaining 30 days of filming domestically.
To achieve this, the art director has been tasked with constructing sets in Hyderabad that replicate locations in Malaysia, Japan, and Bangkok. These sets will be enhanced with computer graphics to achieve the desired effect. Due to time constraints, the decision has been made to build these sets at Ramoji Film City.
The scenes originally intended to be shot in Malaysia and Japan are set in the late 90s and early 2000s, requiring specific alterations to the locations. Rather than modifying actual sites, building sets offers a more efficient solution for the production team.
