Maverick Director K. Raghavendra Rao Launches Title Song of ‘Honeymoon Express’
The Kalyani Malik musical, “Honeymoon Express,” has already captivated audiences with three beautiful songs trending on T-Series. Today, renowned director K. Raghavendra Rao released the film’s title song, completing its full album of four tracks.
K. Raghavendra Rao invited writer/director Bala Rajasekharuni and young composer and singer Spoorthi Jitender to his office at RK Cineplex, Banjara Hills. During the meeting, Bala, who also serves as a faculty member of film and theater in the US, and Rao discussed the differences in film training offered in the US and India for future generations.
Bala presented the final lyrical video, the fourth song completing the “Honeymoon Express” album, to Sri Rao. The veteran director, known for his romantic films, appreciated the youthful and upbeat composition by Spoorthi Jitender. Spoorthi was invited by music director Kalyani Malik to guest compose the title song.
Rao mentioned his long-standing acquaintance with Bala, dating back to his frequent visits to Los Angeles and later as the Dean of Annapurna Studios Film Institute. He praised the fusion nature of the song, highlighting Spoorthi’s creative blend of Telugu and Spanish lyrics.
The title song of “Honeymoon Express” is co-written by Spoorthi Jitender and Kittu Vissapragada. Spoorthi, who has penned around 100 songs, many of which are hits in Telugu, is also emerging as an international pop singer.
K. Raghavendra Rao extended his blessings to the “Honeymoon Express” team for a successful run of the movie.
“Honeymoon Express,” presented by NRI Entertainments (USA) under the New Reel India Entertainments Private Limited banner, is produced by KKR and Bala Raj. The film is written and directed by Bala Rajasekharuni and stars Chaitanya Rao, Hebah Patel, Tanikella Bharani, Suhasini, Ali, Arvind Krishna, Surekha Vani, and Ravi Varma, among others. The music is directed by Kalyani Malik, with RP Patnaik providing the background score, and Spoorthi Jitender as the guest composer. The film’s art and cinematography are by Sistla VMK, edited by Uma Shankar G (USA) and Sri Krishna Attaluri, with digital PR handled by Cine Digital, Vamsi Krishna, and Paul Pavan.
