Raghu Rama Krishna Raju has orchestrated one of the most notable comebacks in Andhra Pradesh’s political history. After a challenging five-year tenure with the YSR Congress Party (YCP), he left the party and contested from the Undi assembly constituency under the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) banner. Today, he is recognized as a significant opponent of the Jagan Mohan Reddy administration.
Raghu Rama Krishna Raju’s efforts against Jagan are far from over, as evidenced by his recent actions. He has filed an attempt to murder case against Jagan Mohan Reddy, the outgoing Chief Minister, with the Guntur police.
The Undi MLA lodged a formal complaint with the Guntur police, naming Jagan Mohan Reddy, CID chief P. V. Sunil Kumar, and other officials. He accused them of torture while he was in police custody, citing charges of attempted murder, custodial torture, and criminal conspiracy.
These allegations stem from a 2021 incident when Raghu Rama Krishna Raju was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh CID and allegedly subjected to torture. He asserts that the CID officials, acting on orders from then-Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, inflicted custodial torture upon him.
Raghu Rama Krishna Raju has bided his time for retribution and is now taking action by filing serious charges against Jagan, who is already reeling from his loss of power in this year’s elections.
