Bolangir: Rahul Gandhi, a prominent leader of the Congress party, voiced his concerns on Wednesday, asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) harbors intentions to undermine the integrity of the Constitution and eliminate the reservation provisions safeguarding the interests of tribals, Dalits, and other backward classes.
Speaking at an election rally in Odisha’s Bolangir, Gandhi warned of the BJP’s purported agenda to privatize the public sector, a move that, he argued, would consolidate power among a select group of individuals, specifically citing 22 billionaires.
“The BJP’s agenda poses a threat to the foundational principles enshrined within our Constitution,” remarked Gandhi, gesturing towards the document in his possession. “However, both the Congress party and the citizens of India remain steadfast in our commitment to upholding its values.”
Gandhi further emphasized the potential consequences of a BJP victory, cautioning that it could lead to the abolition of reservation policies and the privatization of essential public assets. “To avert such outcomes, it is imperative that a government of the people, by the people, and for the people be established,” he concluded.
