BJP MLA Raja Singh Alleges Harassment, Criticizes Party Decisions Amid Internal Struggles
Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh has made explosive remarks, accusing his own party of harassment since he joined in 2014. Expressing frustration with the internal dynamics of the BJP, Singh stated, “If the party does not need me and wants me to leave, I am ready to step away immediately.”
Singh, who has long been fighting against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Congress, and the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), now finds himself embroiled in a struggle within his own party. He described this as an unfortunate situation and sharply criticized BJP’s internal decisions.
One of the major points of contention was Singh’s recommendation for the Golconda district president post to be given to a leader from the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Backward Class (BC) community. However, Singh alleged that his suggestion was ignored in favor of appointing someone with ties to AIMIM, which he deemed an illogical decision.
When he confronted a senior BJP leader over the appointment, Singh claimed that the leader was unaware of the matter, interpreting this as part of a larger conspiracy against him within the party.
Singh further demanded an explanation for the dismissal of his recommendation, noting that it is standard practice for a district president to be appointed based on the local MLA’s suggestion. He also called for the immediate removal of the newly appointed district president.
Reflecting on the future of BJP in Telangana, Singh expressed concerns that the party’s failure to rise to power in the state was linked to the presence of certain “retired individuals” in the organization. “As long as such individuals remain, the BJP will never come to power here,” he asserted.
