Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli’s Highly Anticipated Film Holds Pooja Ceremony; Release Expected in 2026 or 2027
The much-anticipated film featuring Superstar Mahesh Babu and directed by S.S. Rajamouli, one of India’s most revered filmmakers, took a significant step forward with its pooja ceremony today. The event, held at the Aluminium Factory on the outskirts of Hyderabad, was a simple yet meaningful occasion, attended by the film’s director, Mahesh Babu, and other key team members and personalities from the film industry.
While the shoot for the film has not yet begun, and no official release date has been confirmed, there is growing excitement surrounding the project. Renowned actor Ram Charan, who shares a close rapport with Rajamouli, offered an insightful prediction about the film’s release timeline during the trailer launch event of Game Changer. When asked by a fan about the anticipated release date, Charan remarked, “Unless something like COVID happens again, there’s no need for tension. The film will likely release in about a year and a half.”
Rajamouli’s previous works, including the Baahubali series, took considerable time to complete, with the director famously spending five years on the two-part epic. However, RRR, another massive success by Rajamouli, was completed relatively quicker, though its release was delayed by the pandemic. With Mahesh Babu’s film, reports suggest that significant pre-production and rehearsals are taking place, highlighting the scale and ambition of the project.
Given the size and complexity of the film, industry insiders estimate that it could take at least two more years before the film is ready for release. Shooting may begin as early as January 2024, but with such a grand scale, fans are speculating the film could be completed and released sometime between late 2026 and early 2027.
With the collaboration of two of India’s biggest stars and filmmakers, expectations are soaring for this untitled project, and the journey towards its release is sure to be closely followed by fans and movie lovers alike.
